"DANIEL CHRISMAN, farmer and stock raiser, Wayne Township, was born in Preble County, Ohio, April 15, 1825, a son of PETER and SARAH (STOUT) CHRISMAN. His father was born in Germany, March 17, 1777, and when a boy came with his parents to the United States, locating first in North Carolina, and removing thence to Ohio, the father being sent to that State by the synod of the Presbyterian church in which he was a minister.
