Died yesterday at Elyria Memorial Hospital following a long illness. Mr. Cheevers was born in Norwalk and had lived in Elyria for 50 years. He was a member of St. Mary Church, the Holy Name Society and the United Polish Club. He was an automobile salesman for 45 years.
Surviving are his wife, Katherine(nee Diedrick); a daughter, Mrs. William (Mary) Lantz, Elyria, and a son, Dennis, at home; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Herbert (Alice) Dillingham, Elyria, and Mrs. Harry (Jennie) Smith, Cleveland; two brothers, Charles, Napa, Calif., and Robert, Honolulu, Hawaii.
