Marilou Snyder, 73, longtime resident of Denton, passed away Thursday February 24, 2011 at her home in Keller.
Mrs. Snyder was born on June 8, 1937 in Lubbock, to Charles N. and Mattie Mae (York) Staggs. She married Charles Dana Snyder on August 29, 1958 in Big Spring, TX. She was a member of the Ariel Club and Southmont Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday March 5, 2011 in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, TX. Dr. Larry Reynolds will officiate the service. Interment will be at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, where she will join her husband.
She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Davis and her husband Mark of Dallas, Cheryl Hassell and her husband Bob of Keller; son, Keith Snyder and his wife Brenda of Garland; brothers, David Staggs and his wife Barbara of Hunt, TX, Rodney Staggs and his wife Dalpha of San Antonio, TX; seven grandchildren (Samantha, Courtney, Kendall, Kyle, Christopher, Kelsey, Sydney).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Marilou's name to the American Cancer Society.
