Ralph E. Hooks, 54 of Kilgore, Tex., a resident of Manorville for 32 years, died at 4:20 a.m. Tuesday (Aug. 2, 1966) in Kilgore. Before leaving this area, Mr. Hooks was employed by Eljer Pottery in Ford City for 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vassie Hooks; four daughters, Geraldine, Shirley and Peggy all of Texas and Lyda Belle Gauker of Adrian; three sons, Ralph Jr., Clarence and Donald all of Texas; 18 grandchildren; his former wife, Helen Jordan; five brothers, Thomas Hooks of Kittanning RD 3, Harry, Turney and Ira all of Adrian RD 1 and James Brison Jr. of Kittanning RD 5 and one sister, Minnie Arble of Nu Mine.

Ralph Elmer Hooks, 53, of Kilgore, Gregg Co., Texas, died Tuesday, August 2, 1966 in Tyler, Smith County, Texas in the Medical & Surgical Clinic, 329 Forth Avenue, after being admitted on Monday. Mr. Hooks was born April 22, 1913 in Pennsylvania the son of Turney & Minnie (Croyle) Hooks. He was a superintendent in the Ceramics business and is survived by his wife Vassie Hooks. Funeral service arrangements were in charge of Rader Funeral Home, Kilgore, Texas. Burial was made in Kilgore Cemetery.
