He was a heavy equipment operator for Domtar Gypson of Savannah and a Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Holy Church of God. Preceded in death by, parents Vester May and Zettie Mae Cone, a sister, Agidene Christenberry, and daughter, Amanda Renee Cone. Survivors: wife, Elizabeth Beckworth Cone of Bloomingdale; son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Davina Cone of Bloomingdale; two daughters, Amy Cone of Jacksonville, FL and Angela Cone of Bloomingdale; three brothers, Ray Cone of Rincon, Oliver Cone of Rocky Mount, NC, and Wayne Cone of Wilson, NC; two sisters, Lucille Narron of Rocky Mount, NC and Lyvonne Kirkman of Rocky Mount, NC; two grandchildren, Ansley Cone and Adam Cone; several nieces and nephews. Active Pallbearers: Mike Narron, Alton Cone, Robbie Cone, Ronnie Wiggins, Vinson Conley, and Johnny Sikes. Funeral Service: 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Holy Church of God. Burial: Northside Cemetery, Pembroke, GA.
