CEDRIC CONNELLY
Funeral services of Cedric N. Connelly, 68, of 509 S. Pennsylvania, who died Saturday [30 Jul] at a Mason City hospital, will be Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The Rev. John Heles of the Mason City Team Ministry will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel until time of services. Family Parish Life Rosary was to be at 7 p.m., and Parish Wake Service at 7:30 p.m., both Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Connelly was a veteran of World War II, and was a trucker most of his life until he retired in 1973. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the VFW. He was a well-known basketball and softball player, and was recently inducted into the Old Timers Hall of Fame 1977.
He is survived by his wife Lucille (Chute); three daughters, Mrs. Karen (Larry) White, Mason City; Mrs. Vern (Phyllis) Hugeback, Rochester, N.Y [sic, Minn.], and Mrs. Gerard (Judi) Birdsall, Denver, Colo.; six grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Orten (Lois) Farrar, Albuquerque, N.M.
