Mrs. Eunice S. King, wife of Mr. A.D. King, and whose serious illness has given her friends grave concern for many weeks past, died on Wednesday morning at 8:40 o'clock. Mrs. King had a serious illness in the spring of 1913, since which time she has been quite feeble, suffering from heart and stomach trouble. Her decline of late has been rapid. Her children have been with her for several days, her son, Charles, returning to Cleveland only last Saturday. Mrs. King's maiden name was Eunice S. Allen. She was a daughter of Davis and Parmela Allen and was born in Washington County Oct. 26, 1847. She was married to A.D. King June 20, 1867. To this union four children were born: Ora B. King, whose sad death by drowning occurred Dec. 29, 1899. A second daughter, Zeta, died March 23, 1902. The two sons, with her husband, survive. The sons are Frank King of Sandwich, Ill., and Chas. C. King, of Cleveland. Besides her husband and two sons, she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mary Hughes, residing in Kentucky, and Mrs. Viola McPherson, of Belpre, who spent several weeks with Mrs. King during her last illness, until the children could arrive. One brother also survives, Waldo Allen, of Point Pleasant, W.Va. So long as she had her health, she was active in all the duties of home, in her capacity as matron of the Morgan County Infirmary, in which capacity she was employed nine years, in the church, and in W.R.C. She was a devoted wife and mother, ever solicitous concerning the welfare of her family and her friends. [Unknown Source]
