Excerpt -- Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Laurinda DeVault, 75, widow of James DeVault, who died yesterday in her home in Speedway, will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in the mt. Zion Church and burial will be made in the church cemetery by Carpenter & Ford. She was born Feb. 10, 1864 and was a daughter of William and Phoebie Shay Shannon. The following children survive her: John D. DeVault of Morgantwon, Audia and William DeVault of Fairmont, Mrs. Ethel Nichols and Mrs. Martha Mitchell of Fairmont, Stanely S. DeVault of Beverly; a brother, Morgan Shannon, and three sisters, Mrs. Alberta Wilds, Mrs. Juda Maier and Mrs. Sarah Wilds, of Tunnelton, also are living. (Note: a lot of mistakes in this obit, her parents were William and Deborah Shannon, and her sisters married names were Wiles not Wilds.)
