Delinda Jane Fulcher Smith, age 95, of Santa Anna, Texas passed away Sunday, December 21, 2003 at 1:30 p. m. at the Coleman County Medical Center in Coleman. Services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a. m. at the First Baptist Church in Santa Anna with Rev. John Stanislaw and Rev. Raymond Jones officiating. Interment will follow at the Coleman City Cemetery under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Santa Anna.

Delinda was born in Brady, Texas on April 5, 1908 to the late Nathaniel Altmon and Pearl Duncan Fulcher. She was a lifetime resident of Coleman County and attended the Loss Creek and White Chapel Schools. On August 27, 1925 Delinda married Robert Coleman Smith in Coleman, Texas and they celebrated forty-five years of marriage. Robert preceded her in death in 1970. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Santa Anna where she was treasurer and member of the Fidelis Sunday School Class for many years and she was a homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Lena and Haskell Clevenger of Fisk, Texas; Joyce and Jack Mobley of San Marcos, Texas; two daughters-in-law; Jane Smith of Santa Anna, Texas; Mary Smith of Santa Anna, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.

Delinda was preceded in death by two sons, Floyd Smith in 1978 and Robert Smith in 2001; brother, Nathaniel (Buck) Fulcher in 1974; and great-grandson, Samuel Casey in 2000. Pallbearers will be Gary Clevenger, Cory Doucet, Robert Cline Smith, Bryan Ballard, Bill Smith and Mike Mobley. Honorary pallbearers include grandchildren, great- grandchildren and greatgreat- grandson.
