Son of Peter Leboyteaux Wimmer and Elizabeth Jane (Cloud) Wimmer. Peter and Elizabeth were at Coloma, when the original gold nugget was found that started the gold rush. Peter III was born in Coloma but in 1854.

He married Cornelia "Connie" Tracy in 1889. Below is an interesting article I found about their "marriage":

San Francisco Chronicle (San Francisco, California)
March 16, 1889 (Saturday)

"THE PACIFIC SLOPE.

Married Without Priest or Judge.

Peter L. Winner [Wimmer] and Cornelia Tracy of Valley Center, San Diego county, have married by contract.

A CONTRACT MARRIAGE.

The Contract Filed by a San Diego County Couple.

San Diego, March 15. There has been filed in the office of the County Recorder of this county the following peculiar agreement by two well - known residents of Valley Center, a town about thirty miles from this city. The document is signed by the principals and witnessed by two other residents of that locality:

Valley Center (Cal.), March 8, 1889. Recognizing the eternal laws of mateship and the natural need o the right relation between the sexes, we, Peter L. Wimmer Jr. and Cornelia Tracy, by these presents make known to the world that we hereby bind ourselves to each other as man and wife and mutually pledge to each other love and fidelity for life."

Whether Cornelia died or they divorced, Peter appears to have married Isabelle Alviso in Los Angeles County on August 4, 1901.
