PLATTSMOUTH – M. LaVonne Hutchison, 76, of Plattsmouth, died Feb. 16 at her home.
Hutchison was born July 19, 1934, to Frederick William and Esther Leora (Compton) Arp in Wahoo. She was raised and schooled in Yutan. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Yutan. She was a 1951 Yutan High School graduate. She then attended and graduated from Capitol School of Cosmetology in Lincoln. Then she worked as a Nebraska Licensed cosmetologist and beautician for 58 years. She lived in Lincoln most of her life.
She married Jim R. Hutchison on April 17, 1992 at the Nebraska Masonic Home in Plattsmouth. The couple made their home in Plattsmouth.
She was a member of Rebekah Lodge 40, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 365 Auxiliary, both of Plattsmouth, American Business Women's Association, the Red Hat Society and the First Christian Church in Plattsmouth.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Phillip Arp; and step grandson, Joey Wentz.
She is survived by her husband; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark Lee and Michelle Willhoft of Helena, Mont.; one step son and spouse, Randy and Christine Hutchison of Plattsmouth; one step daughter and spouse, Vicki and Michael Bowen of Plattsmouth; nine grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; one brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Mary Arp of Yutan; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22 at First Christian Church in Plattsmouth.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. with Family Receiving Relatives and Friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday Feb. 21 at Mortuary.
Internment will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22 at Hollst Lawn Cemetery at Yutan.
The family suggests memorials to the First Christian Church or the American Cancer Society .
Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth is in charge of the arrangements.
