NAMPA —John Edward Hickman, 75, a retired farmer, died Saturday morning at his home at 207 Twelfth avenue north, following a short illness.
He was born Oct. 17, 1880, at Spencer, Iowa. Mr. Hickman was married to Pearl Draper at Correctionville, Iowa, on Jan. 28, 1906. He was a fruit grower near Palisade, Colo., until 1936 when he moved to Nampa where he farmed until his retirement.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Pearl Hickman, Nampa; four daughters, Mrs. Grace Zeal, Pocatello, Mrs. Dorothy Ferdinand, Nampa, Mrs. Laurel Lee Ackmann, Festes, Mo., Mrs. Dora Vel, Pettigrew, Collbran, Colo.; two sons, Harold E. Hickman, and Norman L. Hickman, both of San Francisco, Calif., and 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 11 a. m. at the Edmunds chapel with Fr. Harold V. Myers officiating. Interment will be at Kohlerlawn.
