Prominent Canyon County Pioneer Answers Last Summons
NAMPA — Mrs. Elizabeth Handy, mother of Mrs. Howard E. King of this city, died at her home on Ninth avenue at 9 o'clock Sunday morning. Mrs. Handy was 71 years of age and had been a resident of Nampa for 21 years. Her daughter, Mrs. King, and her eldest son, William P. Handy of Denver, and her daughter-in-law, Mrs. George H. Handy of Caldwell, were with her at the time of her death. There are also two other sons, R. S. Handy of Kellogg, Ida., and Ralph H. Handy of Irqueque, Chili.
Deceased was born in Belfast, Ireland, and came to this country in 1862. She spent several years in Colorado and California before locating in Nampa over a score of years ago.
The funeral services were held from the Episcopal church in this city Monday afternoon, and burial was in Kohlerlawn.
