Eugene Martin Dame, 79, formerly of 3317 Comanche Place, Owensboro, died Sunday, October 10, 2004 at the Riverside Manor Nursing Home in Calhoun. Born in McLean County on March 23, 1925, Mr. Dame was retired from General Electric and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II having served on submarines as a radio operator. He loved the outdoors, especially boating, camping, and gardening. He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Perryman Dame in 1999.

He is survived by a son, Mike Dame of Northport, Al; three daughters, Rebecca Jackson of Madisonville, Karen Adwell of Owensboro, and Donna Hausmann of Seattle , WA., five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Howard Dame of Owensboro; and a sister, Anna Mae Dame of Utica.

Funeral services are 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 14, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday and after 11:00 A.M. on Thursday
