MINDEN--Funeral services for E.C. "Eddie" Howard are scheduled for 2 p.m. today in the Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Paul Cassels will officiate and burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery, under the direction of Rose-Neath.


Howard died Tuesday in the Methodist Hospital in Dallas at the age of 63.


He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Thelma Howard of Dallas; two daughters, Mrs. Phillis Lyrely of Dallas and Mrs. Etta Carol Robinette of Irving, Tex.; a son, Randy Howard of Memphis, Tenn.; two stepsons, Eddy Paul of Irving and Larry Paul of Dallas, two stepdaughters, Mrs. Florence Goyanes of Denver, Colo. and Mrs. Frances Foster of Dallas, Tex.; eight grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.


Pallbearers are Jay Merrick, Mike Merrick, Beverly Thorpe, Bill Jarvis Thorpe, Wayne Childs and Larry Miller.


Howard was a native of Birdwell, Tex., a World War II veteran, and a member of the Christian Church.
