Helen Friday Davis
Graveside services for Helen Friday Davis of Cotton Valley were held today (Thursday, Nov. 15) at the Minden Rose-Neath Chapel with Rev. Frank DeLoach assisted by Jimmy Yocum officiating. Interment followed in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Helen Davis passed away Tuesday, Nov. 13 at her residence following a sudden illness. She was 61.
Helen Davis was a native of Chestnut, La., a devoted mother and homemaker and a member of the Unity Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Johnnie Jackson, Cotton Valley; Glenda and John Sutton, Ruston; Lois and Joe Brown, Monticello, Ark. and Denice Davis, Cotton Valley; two sisters, Mary B. Scallion, Chestnut, La., Luda Adkins, Dubberly; five grandchildren, Tammi Jackson, Chris Sutton, Tim Sutton, Wes Brown and Kristie Brown.
Pallbearers included Elbert Davis, David Wilson, Ross Friday, Milton Friday, M.R. Friday, W.J. Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers included Ray Wilson, Fay Wilson, Claude Smith, Bud Coyle.
