Mrs. Frances A. Ammons, 74, died in a local hospital after a long illness. A native of Indiana, she lived in Benicia CA since 1945. She owned Capitol Florist in Benicia from 1964 to 1973. She later worked as bookkeeper for her husband at the Mohawk Service Station. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, past president of St. Paul's Guild, a member of the Vallejo Moose Lodge No. 468 and was involved in starting the Benicia Peddlers Fair in 1964.

She is survived by her husband, Dale Ammons of Benicia; a son of Connecticut and a son of Fairfield CA; one daughter of Vallejo CA; a sister of Butte City CA; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
