There is a book in the Puskarich Public Library in Cadiz, Harrison County, Ohio, that includes family records of Aquila Tipton II and Aquila Tipton III; it also has very limited records of Aquila Tipton I. According to the genealogist at this library, the families that put entries in this book had to pay to do so. Aquila Tipton III put an entry in this book on himself that included his grandfather, his parents and siblings, and his wife and their children. The book is entitled COMMEMORATIVE BIOGRAPHICAL RECORD, HARRISON, OHIO, Containing Biographical Sketches of Prominent and Representative Citizens, and of Many of the Early Settled Families; published by Chicago: J. When he came to this property he had to cut his own road through the forest from Jefferson County, and here he spent his life in clearing the land. Politically he was a Whig."
