James H. Crites, 78, of West Salem, died Friday, May 3, 1991 at 10:45 p.m. at Meadow Wood Nursing Home in Grayville.

Funeral services will be this morning (Monday) at 11 a.m. at Ingram Funeral Home in West Salemm with Rev. Allen Ahlfield officiating. Burial will be in Marion Cemetery.

Mr. Crites was born Oct. 4, 1912 in Wabash County, the son of Harlan and Abigail (Cochran) Crites.

Mr. Crites was a farmer. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a former member of American Legion in West Salem.

Mr. Crites is survived by one brother, Charles Crites, Allendale, and one sister, Mildred Ibbotson, West Salem.

Mr. Crites was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
