Mrs. Hazel Leon, 53, of 1208 Steuben, died Dec. 18,1951 in a local hospital after an illness of several months.
She was born Oct. 4,1898 in Rotterdam, N. Y., a daughter of William W. and Elizabeth Filkins Hart. She was married to William Leon, 37 years ago and had been a resident of Utica 30 years. Mr. Leon died 32 years ago.
Mrs. Leon was a communicant of St. Francis de Sales Church and of Utica Chapter 142, Women of the moose.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Chester P. Kozlowski, Schenectady: two sons, William Leon, just returning from serving with the Army in Korea, and John P. Leon (Jones), Norfolk, Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Coleman, Barneveld and Mrs. Elizabeth Thompson, Schenectady; three brothers, William Hart, Albany, James Hart, Schenectady, and Frank Hart, Philadelphia; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Ritualistic services will be conducted at 8 P. M. tomorrow in Surridge & Roberts Funeral Home, 144 Eagle, by Utica Chapter 142, Women of the Moose, the funeral will be at 8:15 A. M,, Friday from the funeral home and at 8:30 from St. Francis de Sales Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Leon-- Hazel M. Leon, 1208 Steuben, Friday from the Surridge and Roberts Funeral Home, 144 Eagle and From St. Francis de Sales Church , where a requiem high mass was celebrated by the Rev. James F. Gillen. Members of the Utica Chapter 142, Women of the Moose, conducted ritualistic services services Thursday evening at the funeral home. Bearers: Joseph Leon, Robert Williams, William Williams, William Griffith, Steven Parzych and Arthur Gossin. Internment in the family plot in Calvary Cemetery with absolution by the Rev. Charles A. Dee.
