Lucia Prevo Haddix was born at Prevo Landing on the Wabash River in York Township, Clark county, on November 17, 1860, and departed this life at 11:20 a.m., December 27, 1936, being 76 years, 1 month and 10 days old. She was the second of five children born to the union of Albert and Perlina Dixon Prevo, and a descendant of two of the pioneer families of Clark county.
She is survived by the husband, Adam Haddix of West Union, Ill., three sons, William and Elmer Horner of Indianapolis, Albert Haddix of Darwin, two daughters, Mrs. Mabel Horner Figg of Marshall and Mrs. Minnie Baker, of Darwin and eleven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Mabel Figg at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, with Rev. J. A. Sweet officiating. Burial was in the Walnut Prairie cemetery.
