Peggy, 78, Convoy, died at 11:53 p.m., at Adams Memorial Hospital.

She was born in in Culp, the daughter of Cyrus and Lula (Roberts) Cranor. On Aug 19, 1952, she married Harold B. Fortney, who survives at the home.

Also surviving are a son, Michael (Jennifer), Crawfordville, IN; two daughters, Ilona (Ed) Welker, Convoy, and Jody Fortney, Ashland; two sisters, Jean (Elmer) Britton Marengo, IL and Patricia (Roger) Richardson, Greys Lake, IL; nine grandchildren, Nicole Warner, Tiffany Hart, Jonathon Welker, Melissa Otis, Julianne Fortney, Christa Fortney, Brett Fortney, Trevor Wear, & Samantha Fortney; and seven great grandchildren.

Deceased are a brother, Jack; and sister, Aileen Atterbury.

A homemaker, she was a member of Countryside Chapel United Methodist Church, Convoy, Convoy Grange and lifetime member of Good Sam.

Services will be at Countryside Chapel United Methodist Church, Convoy, with the Rev. Wayne Kargas, officiating.
