OXFORD - John B. Estes, 80, died Saturday, February 5, 2005, at the Miss. Veterans Home in Oxford. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a past president of the Miss. Realtors Association. He was a member of the VFW, the Civitans, Shriners, Rotary and a Mason.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at the Coleman Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford with Bro. Bob Brewer and Jim Estes officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. at the Booneville Cemetery in Booneville.

Survivors include three daughters, Alice Allen and husband, Jon, of LaGrange, Tenn., Kathy Strawn and Becky Killen, both of Oxford; seven grandchildren, Jim Rudkin Jr. of Richmond, Va., Nancy Rudkin and David Allen both of LaGrange, Tenn., Lori Baltuch of Venice, Fla., Kristi Brown of Starkville, Kristin Killen and Tommy Killen, both of Oxford; three great-grandchildren, Noah, Ansley and Alaina Allen, all of La Grange, Tenn.; one brother, Robert Samuel Estes of Marietta; one sister, Annie Laurene Thomas of Corinth.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Willodean S. Estes; his parents, Grover Estes Sr. and Elizabeth Byars Estes; one daughter, Theresa Estes; two brothers, William Newton Estes and Grover Estes Jr.; and two sisters, Aleta Roy and Mary Lou Yates.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Oxford Church of Christ Benevolence Fund or to the American Cancer Society.
