Marie Dokken, 83 of 3310 Bradway died in a local hospital early Sunday morning after an extended illness. Mrs. Dokken was born in Mekinock, North Dakota, Jan 5, 1878 and lived in Anacortes since 1933. Moving to Everett five years agao. She was a member of the Lutheran Brethren Church of North Dakota. Surving are three daughters, Mrs. Torger (Selma) Matson of Rt 5 Everett, Mrs Palmer Rice of Anacortes and Mrs. B.M. Ryan of Bismarck, North Dakota, one son Joesph Dokken of 2601 Summit Ave, one Sister Mrs. Theodore Hendrickson of Mekinock, North Dakots, two brothers, Oscar Burtness of Manviel, N.D. and Andrew Burtness of Jamestown, N.D. 21 grandchildren, 33 great Grandchildre. Funeral services will be on Saturday afternoon at 1 oclock in the chapel of the Solie Funeral Home. The REv Joseph Aarhus of Stanwood will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemtery.
