Funeral services will be held tomorrow (Wednesday) at 3 p.m. at Calvary Methodist Church with the Rev. Harvey Ashby, minister, officiating, for Emmett M. Connner, 62, who died Sunday, June 3, at his home near Stuarts Draft. Interment will be in the cemetery adjoining the Calvary Church.
The son of hte late John H. and Susan Johnson Conner, Mr. Conner was born in Rockbridge County. He was a rural mail carrier for a number of years at Rockbridge Baths and moved to Augusta County 11 years ago.
Survivors are his wife, and the following children:
E. C. Conner and E. K. Conner, both of Stuarts Draft; Pvt. Dewey M. Conner with the 7th Army in Germany; J. H. Conner, U. S. Navy, in the Pacific; and Mrs. Samuel Sensabaugh, Mrs. Earl Fitzgerald, Mrs. Franklin Fitzgerald, and Mrs. William Rusmiselle, all of Stuarts Draft, and two sisters, Mrs. W. E. Tyree, of Raphine, and Mrs. O. M. Tolley, of Rockbridge Baths.
