Maxine Mildred Grohman
Grohman, Maxine 84, of Caldwell formerly of Bastrop passed away peacefully Friday, February 18, 2011 in Smithville at The Towers Nursing Center.
A Celebration Of Life is planned for February 25, 2011 at 2:oop.m. at Phillips & Luckey Chapel in Caldwell. The family will receive guests from noon till service time. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorial donations may be given to the American Heart Association or The National Kidney Foundation.
Mrs.. Grohman was born January 22, 1927 in Hye, Texas to parents Victor Edward Striegler and Mary Bell Rountree.
She retired from the University of Texas where she worked in the custodial department.
Maxine was very sociable rather it was her distinctive laugh or her hugs. She loved flowers, gardening, quilting , playing dominoes especially forty-two and cooking, watching QVC and she definitely loved her bling bling jewelry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two; brothers; George Striegler, Victor Edward Striegler and infant sister Leola Mae Striegler.
Maxine is survived by her daughter, Three, brothers; three, sisters.
