OBITUARY
Mrs. Charles TUBB, 76, died at the Hemphill County Hospital in Canadian, where she had been a patient since she was injured in an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be at the First Methodist Church. Rev James Price, pastor, will be in charge of the rites.
Burial will be in the Canadian Cemetery under the direction of Stickley Funeral Home.
Funeral services were delayed while members of the family attempted to locate a daughter, Mrs. John (Lorena) LACHENMAYER of Bedminster, New Jersey, who, with Mr. LACHENMAYER, has been on a leisurely motor tour of the western United States.
The LACHENMAYERs were finally contacted in Salt Lake City.
Another daughter, Mrs. Wolfram (Lois) LEIPE of Irvington, New York, arrived by plane Tuesday afternoon.
In addition to the two daughters, Mrs. TUBB is survived by her husband; one son, Dorsey TUBB of Canadian; a sister, Mrs. Lorena SWITZER of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and four grandchildren.
Mrs. TUBB was born on July 20, 1884, at Gainesville, Georgia. She was married to Charlie TUBB, Canadian rancher and businessman, on May 24, 1911, and has lived in Canadian since that time.
Mrs. TUBB was injured when the car in which she was a passenger ran off the pavement on a section of U. S. Highway 60 which is under construction, went out of control, swerved across the highway and through a fence. Mrs. TUBB was hospitalized with a broken arm. Mr. TUBB, driver of the car, escaped without serious injury.
Mrs. TUBB had been in ill health for several years, and death was the result of several factors not directly connected with the accident.
