VINA, Ala. Velma Mauldin, 91, died Friday, May 18, 2001, at her residence. She was native of Alabama and a member of Good Springs Baptist Church.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Ebenezer Baptist Church near Vina, Ala., with the Rev. Jimmy Massey and the Rev. W.D. Humphries officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include five daughters, Avadean Petree of Hodges, Ala., Elma Mae Baggett of Red Bay, Shirley Fay Tate of Zion, Ill., Nellie Hall of Guntown and Elsie Floyd of Blue Springs; one son, Charles Mauldin of Vina, Ala.; two brothers, Arvin Holland of Rosedale, Ga., Vic Holland of Red Bay; 27 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Holland; her second husband, William H. Mauldin; two sons, J.C. Holland and F.V. Holland; and one daughter, Viola Holland.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

The family is now receiving visitors at the funeral home.
