Served in the war between the states. He served in C Company, 10th Regiment, Tennessee Cavalry (DeMoss). He fought at Chickamauga, GA, Lookout Mountain, TN and the battle of Franklin, TN. He married Mary Francis Land April 11, 1866 in Perry county, TN. Besides the children listed below, they also had a son, Albert.
