Charles K. "Chuck" Marshall, 82, of Eolia died Thursday, March 14, 2013 at his home.

A private graveside service was held Monday, March 18 at Vandalia Cemetery. He was born Feb. 19, 1931 to Guy E. and Florence Marshall of Vandalia.

He married Dolly Fitzgerald April 9, 1950. He later married, Melba Marshall. She survives. Other survivors include his children, Sharon Whisnant of Ridgecrest, Calif., Mike Marshall and wife, Joyce of Springdale, Wash., Debra Nelson and husband, Bill, Eolia and Alan Marshall and wife, Mary Lou of Newport, Wash; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Dolly Marshall; his parents; a sister, Laura Mae and a brother, Guy "Eddie" Marshall.

Mr. Marshall worked at McDonnell Douglas from 1962-69, then the family moved to Colorado Springs, Colo., where he attended the Nazarene Bible College from 1970-72. After graduating, the family moved to Deer Park, Wash., where he pastored the Deer Park Nazarene Church for five years from 1972-77. Then after resigning that pastorate, he moved back to Missouri to be close to family, went back to work and retired from McDonnell Douglas.

He loved the outdoors and spending time on his property. he took his family on many camping trips. Mr. Marshall enjoyed life to the fullest and loved talking to anyone about Jesus.
