Larry Henry, 64, of San Gabriel, Texas, died at Scott and White Hospital in Temple after a sudden illness. He was born in Rockdale, Texas. He was a graduate of Rockdale I.S.D. and the University of Texas as a mechanical engineer. He worked for General Dynamics for 17 years, Bell Helicopter in Hurst for 12 years, and retired in 1984 as a senior design engineer. After his retirement he moved to San Gabriel and became a rancher, where he was a resident for the past 12 years. He was a member, deacon and chairman of the Board of the San Gabriel Christian Church, a member of Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association, and the Registered Professional Engineers of Texas. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 19, at the San Gabriel Christian Church in San Gabriel with the Rev. Bob Wimp officiating. Burial was in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale.
