John F. Dullam of Camarillo, California, a movie sound mixer who later turned to the farming industry, died Wednesday. He was 91.
Born Aug. 28, 1906, in Hollywood, California, he attended UCLA and was a member of the first senior class on the Westwood campus. Dullam was a member of Theta Chi fraternity.
After a lengthy stint at MGM Studio, he joined his father and brother in the farming business in West Los Angeles in 1943.
Dullam moved to the Oxnard, California area in 1951 and began what was to become a major produce operation on the Oxnard Plain.
He was co-founder of the Oxnard Frozen Foods Cooperative before retiring in 1985.
Dullam is survived by his wife, Maida, of Camarillo; a son, John; a daughter, Toni Hooper; two sisters, Hilda Serr and Mary Dullam; and 13 grandchildren.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Chapel of the Island, Conejo Mountain Memorial Park, in Camarillo, California.
