Harold W. Brasier claimed by Death
Harold Brasier who had been sick for several months died at the Newman Hospital at Emporia between one and two o'clock this morning.
Mr. Brasier's condition has been serious for several weeks, and he was taken to the hospital, yesterday in hopes that a thorough examination and x-ray picture might disclose something that would enable the attending physicians to do something for him. But the effort was to no avail.
Mr. Brasier is the son of Mr. and Mrs. S.A. Brasier. He was married to Miss Lottie Lamb. He is survived by his widow and two small children, Ruth and Annette; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. S.A. Brasier. He also is survived by two brothers, Alva Brasier of Americus, and Raymond Brasier who is attending school at Enid, Okla., and one sister, Miss Alice Brasier of Americus.
Arrangements for the funeral have not yet been announced.

The Brasier Funeral Held Last Saturday
Harold Walter Brasier was born Jan. 10, 1903 being at the time of his death aged 28 years, 11 months, and 13 days. He died Dec. 23, 1931 at 1:10 a.m. at the Newman Memorial Hospital in Emporia. He graduated from the Americus High School in May, 1921. He continued his studies and after he married, graduated from the Wichita Business College, receiving his B.A. degree in June, 1926.
On Dec. 30, 1925, he was married to Lottie A. Lamb and to this union two little girls have been born, Ruth and Annette. On Sept. 1, 1918 he joined the Americus M.E. Church and died trusting in the Lord. He was a member of the Dodge City council of Security Benefit Association.
Mr. Brasier was a kind parent and a fond and affectionate husband.
Mr. Brasier's last sickness was of several months duration. Not since last August has he been able to attend to his business. For the past few years he has been engaged in the restaurant business. He took part in the town's activities. He has been a member of the Americus baseball team, but was unable to finish the season last summer on account of failing health.
His many friends will join with the bereaved in mourning his untimely departure.
The funeral was held from the M.E. Church last Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The services were conductedd by Rev. John Endacot, pastor of the church and Rev. O.S. Jones of Toronto, Kan. Rev. Jones preached the sermon. The singers were Jesse Houk, Mrs. Mary Simons, Mrs. Herbert Anderson and Albert Haber, with Mrs. Ora Bell at the piano.
The pall bearers were Stanley Gordon, Joe Brickell, Howard Ernst, Lloyd Finif, Chester Hubble and Chester Lowe.
The remains were laid to rest in the Americus cemetery.
