REYNOLDS, Paul C. Age 84 of Vanleer, February 22, 2011.

Retired from USMC and Military Chaplain. Son of the late Arthur Chester and Susie Clark Reynolds. Preceded by wife, Velma Lee Shawler Reynolds.

Survived by son, Steve (Brenda) Reynolds, Hartselle, AL; daughters, Jane (Tom) Edwards, Vanleer, TN and Gerry (Bill) Browder, State College, PA; brothers, James H. (Ruby) Reynolds, Dickson, TN, Arthur S. Reynolds, Burns, TN and Franklin D. Reynolds, Murfreesboro, TN; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation at Taylor Funeral Home Friday, from 4 until 8 p.m. and Saturday, 11 a.m. until service. Funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2011 from the chapel, with USMC Chaplain officiating. Interment with Full Military Rites will follow in the Reynolds Cemetery, Vanleer.

Chaplain Paul Calvin Reynolds, age 84 of Vanleer, died Tuesday February 22, 2011 at Walking Horse Assisted Living.

He is survived by his son, Steve Reynolds (Brenda) of Hartselle, AL; daughters, Jane Edwards (Tom) of Vanleer, Gerry Browder (Bill) of State College, PA; brothers, James H. Reynolds (Ruby) of Dickson, Arthur S. Reynolds of Burns, Franklin D. Reynolds of Murfreesboro; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be Friday February 25th from 4 to 8 PM and 11 AM until service. Funeral services for Mr. Paul Reynolds will be Saturday February 26, 2011 at 2 PM from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home, with USMC Chaplain officiating. Interment with Full Military Rites and will follow in the Reynolds Family Cemetery, Vanleer, TN.

Paul was honored with the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and Silver Star during his tenure in the US Navy during World War II, the Marine Corps during the Korean War and 2 tours of duty in the Vietnam War! He was certainly an American Hero!
