Pickett, Mrs. Susan, 86, of Newport News died Friday, March 17, 1950 after a long illness. Surviving are daughter, seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services at 2p.m. Saturday, March 18, 1950 at Caffee Funeral Home, with the Reverend ?????? Price, D.D., pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery (Caffee Funeral Home in charge)

Funeral services for Mrs. Susan Pickett, 86, will be held at 2 this afternoon in Caffee Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce H. Price,D.D., pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Pickett died yesterday after a long illness.
A native of James City County, Mrs. Pickett spent her early life in Williamsburg where her father was a merchant during the War Between the States. She had been a resident of Newport News more than 50 years.
She was a member of First Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. E. McS. Roach, seven grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be J.H. Borders, W.W. Hussey, W.B. Jordan, O.S. Jones, V.W. Early, and W. Cardwell.
