Mrs. Ruth Smith, 87, died Sept. 30 at Moss Oaks Nursing Home.

She was a native of Emanuel County and a member of Rothwell Baptist Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Richard T. Turner Lodge No. 332 and a homemaker.

SURVIVORS: a daughter and son-in-law, Norma and James Beasley of Pooler; three sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn and Betty Smith of Faulkville, Kermit and Judy Smith of Wilmington Island and Larry and Martha Smith of Clyo; a sister, Oree Duddley of Swainsboro; eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: 7-9 p.m. today at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, West Chatham Chapel.

FUNERAL: 3 p.m. Saturday at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, West Chatham Chapel, burial in Westside Memorial Gardens in Bloomingdale with Eastern Star Service.
