COBDEN -- Lillian A. Anderson, 98, of Crown Point, Ind., formerly of Cobden, went to be with the Lord at 8:04 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, in St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart, Ind.

She was born Dec. 5, 1912, the daughter of Guy Fred and Carrie Clutts Wolfe.

She married Charles Anderson on March 20, 1934, in Waterloo. He preceded her in death March 30, 1996.

Lillian is survived by two sons, Charles Roger (Judy) Anderson of St. John, Ind., and Michael Lynn (Judith) Anderson of Crown Point, Ind.; one daughter, Vida Lou Mileris of Forest, Va.; nine grandchildren, Chuck (Teri) Anderson, Stephen (Rema) Anderson, Charisse Malo, Todd (Susan) Anderson, Dr. Cindy (Dr. Jeff) Tanzar, the Rev. Chris (Donna) Lentz, David Lentz, Valerie (Glenn) Jarbo and Kirk (Sherri) Anderson; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Vivian Ellis of Granite City; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; two brothers, Hillard and Robert Wolfe; three sisters, Frieda Wolfe, Lucille Sanders and Evelyn Ingram.

Lillian was a member of Anna Church of the Nazarene, serving in many capacities as long as her health permitted. She was a Christian who was baptized at the age of 16 and faithfully attended church. Lillian worked for many years at Choate Mental Health as a supervisor in behavior research. Two years ago, she sold her home and moved to Crown Point, Ind., to be near her children.

Services for Mrs. Lillian A. Anderson will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, in Anna Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Richard Keeley and Pastor Chris Lentz officiating. Interment will be in Cobden Cemetery. Friends may call after 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Anna Church of the Nazarene. Envelopes will be available at the church and at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
