Art Harris was an outstanding running back for the 1970 Marshall University football team. he was regarded as one of the best ball carriers in the Northeast coming out of Passaic High School in New Jersey. He was sought after by most major schools in the eats and mid-west. he died along with his father Arthur L Harris and teammates in the tragic crash of the Marshall team plane.Victim of Southern Airways Flight 932 crash in Ceredo, WV on 14 Nov 1970 - Member of the Marshall University Football Team.

He was a running back for Marshall in 1970, and was on the plane returning from North Carolina when it crashed at Tri-State Airport on November 14, 1970. The crash was the worst in American sports history. His father, Art Sr., was also on the plane at the time of the crash and was also killed.
