OBITUARY
Mitchell Ankrim, 87, of South Point, husband of Alberta Wolfe Ankrim, to whom he was married Dec. 26, 1946, died Wednesday at his residence. He was born Nov. 9, 1900, in Delta, son of the late Henry Edward Ankrim and Blanche Phillips Ankrim. He was a retired cabinet maker for the Duncan Box Lumber Co. He was a member of South Point Christian Church. He was preceded in death by two brothers; two sisters; and one son, Charles M. Ankrim. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Mrs. C G "June" (Ferne) McComas of South Point and Mrs. J. B. "Slits" (Jane) McClure of Baton Rouge, La.; one stepson Charles Heaberlin of Decatur, Texas; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Frances Lambert of Oak Hill. Funeral services are Saturday at 2 p.m. at Schneider Funeral Home, Chesapeake, by Minister Earl Slack. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
