Funeral services for Leslie Cox, 42, who died about noon on Monday, January 13 at his home here in town, were held at Bon Air cemetery in White county.
Mr Cox, a son of Mr and Mrs George Cox, deceased, long residents of the Bon Air community, was a native of Jackson county. He was a miner, and had just recently returned here after having been employed at mines near St Charles, Va.
He is survived by his wife, Tennie Lamb Cox; 5 daughter ranging in age from about 6 to 20 years; one brother, Luther, St Charles, Va.
Due to his illness and lack of employment previous to that, the family is reported in quite needy circumstances
