Allen was son of Mr. and Mrs Lawson Baskett and one sister, Miss Grace Baskett. At the time of his death he was administrative assistant to Lt Joe Lane Travis, commanding officer of Battery "A" 623 Field Artillery Battalion of the Ky. National Guard and held the rank of M.Sgt. He was a veteran of WW2 and about 18 months in the Korean War and 32 months in the European theatre during World War11.He had numberous Army ribbons He was a member of the Church of Christ and Tompkinsville Lodge No 753 and the American Legion.
