Mr. Cook Nolen, Dated 12June 1893 - The sad messenger entered the chamber and claimed this noble young man last Monday evening. The deceased had been a patient sufferer many months, and while those who knew of his true condition best, had but little or no hope of his recovery, they were not fully prepared for the separation.

"Cook" as he was familiarly called by his host of friends, was truly a noble young man. Those who knew him best loved him most. He was a devoted and consistent member of the Methodist church, and when he realized that the end was near, his faith seemed to grow stronger.

How beautiful it is for a man to die upon the walls of Zion; to be called like a weary sentinel to put his armor off and rest in heaven.

We mourn with the devoted wife who was a constant watcher by his side. We weep with the father and other relatives, we offer our heartfelt sympathy. We could say much more but it is all summed up in this. He has gone to meet the loved ones gone before and rejoice forever and forever.
