Martha Ellen Bryan was born March 5, 1905 in Bowie, Texas. She passed away on July 11, 1997, in Dallas at the age of 92. Graveside services and burial will be held in Citizens Cemetery, Clarendon, Texas, at 10:00 a.m., August 21, 1997. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Clarendon.

Mrs. Bryan was proud to have been the Assistant County School Superintendent Secretary in Donley County for 34 years. Mrs. Bryan lived in Texas her entire life. She was the widow of Reagan C. Bryan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Bell, both descendants of pioneer Texas families. She was a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was also a longtime volunteer in providing assistance to older persons.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna of the home, two grandsons and their wives, Joe and Paula Siddle and Bryan and Dorith Siddle, 4 great grandchildren, Josh, Lesli, Jennifer, and Daniel, all of Dallas.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Clarendon.
