A veteran of World War II, Mr. Brock had served 2 years in the CCC Camp in Moundville State Park, prior to his serving 4 years in the Army Air Force.
After the war he married his fiancee, Ruby Gray Mixon 8 December 1945 in Lamar County. He was a natural musician and accompanied his brothers playing his fiddle and banjo on many occasions. He was a member of Liberty Free Will Baptist Church in Crossville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers; Martin, Leathon, Ary, and Berneal; his sister, Alena Brock Hendrix; his half-sister, Frieda Harper Mills and infant brother Luther Harper.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Gray Brock; daughter, Deborah Brock Tyra and Matthew Alexander Treadway Tyra and Sister Mrs. Pansy Smith.
