Louise Parker Whelchel, 84, of 2322 Wilkinsville Hwy., died Saturday, July 16, 1994, in Upstate Carolina Medical Center.

A native of Cherokee County, she was the widow of Lloyd B. Whelchel and daughter of the late Larkin J. and Bessie Phillips Parker. She was a homemaker and member of Draytonville Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Nancy McSwain of Gaffney and Bennie Gayle. Martin of Blacksburg; one brother, Billy S. Parker of Gaffney; one sister, Ellen Jackson of Fort Mill; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be held today at 3 p.m. at Draytonville Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Ivey officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Body Will be placed in the church‘at 2:30 p.m.

Pallbearers will' be Francis Parris, David Parris Sr.; Thomas Phillips. Jr., Tommy Turner Jr., Conrad Spencer, Monroe Phillips and Cecil Childers.

Visitation will be held today at the residence where the body will be.

The family is at the residence.
