Born May 26, 1903, in Chillicothe to Harry and Lucy Reed Bryden, he married Mabel McLaughlin on May 2, 1931, in Chillicothe. She died March 8, 1991. One son, William, and one sister also preceded him in death.
Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Lois) Myers of Trivoli.
He operated Bryden Service Station and Garage from 1931 to 1978 and Bryden Bus Co. from 1939 to 1978 in Sparland.
Burial will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery in rural Chillicothe.
