Mrs. Dessie M. SHIREMAN, 70, R.R. 2, Macy, died at 10 a.m. Thursday at her home following an illness of several months. She was born Oct. 6, 1907 in Kosciusko county to Charles M. and Clara BRUBAKER LANDIS and had lived most of her life in the Macy area, also residing for 10 years in Columbus. She was married in 1928 to Alton SHIREMAN, who survives. She was a member of the Silver Creek Church of God and the WCSC of the church. Surviving with the husband are a son, Paul [SHIREMAN] R.R. 2, Akron; two daughters, Mrs. Leon (Betty) SCHIPPER, R.R. 1, Akron, and Mrs. Robert (Margie) MATTIX, R.R. 1, Claypool; nine grandchildren; a great-grandson; a brother, Earl LANDIS, Columbus, and two half-sisters, Mrs. Violet HORNBACK and Mrs. Cleo WEST, both of Columbus. A sister and a half-brother preceded in death. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Silver Creek Church of God with the Rev. Fred LANDOLT officiating. Burial will be in the Silver Creek cemetery next to the church. Friends may call at the Haupert funeral home in Akron from 2 p.m. Saturday until 11 a.m. Sunday and at the church from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be made to the Silver Creek Church of God memorial fund.
