William Marvin Adair, age 82, Jefferson City, Missouri died Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility in Jefferson City, Missouri.

He was born September 28, 1927, in Lupus, Missouri, the son of George Marvin and Trellis (Weant) Adair. He was married on February 25, 1950, in Jefferson City, Missouri, to Jessie Pauletta (Hodge) Adair. Jessie preceded him in death on December 3, 2001.

Mr. Adair retired in 1988 as manager of the machine department at Mesker Door Company where he had been employed for sixteen years.

Bill was a United States Veteran having served in the United States Army from 1946-1947 and the Air Force from from 1952-1956. He then served in the Army again from 1960-1963.

Bill was a member of Fountain of Life Family Worship Center and enjoyed fishing, playing cards, sports and joke telling.

Survivors include one son, James Adair (Ruth) of St. Charles. Missouri; three daughters, Brenda Whitley (Ronald) of St. Robert, Missouri, Verlon McKay of Jefferson City, Missouri and Paula Sheely (Lyle) of Jefferson City, Missouri; twelve grandchildren, including William Adair whom the couple raised; ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Dulle Trimble Funeral Home with Paster Marcus Sage officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00, Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Longview Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Fountain of Life Family Worship Center.
