Caroline married Ernest about 1879 and immigrated in 1886. She had nine children by 1900 and all nine of them survived. They were Anna M., Lizzie M., Willie E., Julie A., Charles Henry, Mary A., Helen, Edith M.C., John F.W., and Clara M. In 1902, the second to youngest child, Johny, died at the age of 2.
