Mrs. Rudd was born Nov. 1, 1882, in Provo, a daughter of James William and Olive Smoot Bean.
On March 19, 1919, she was married to Joseph H. Rudd in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Jan. 13, 1959.
Harriet had resided in Provo, in Salt Lake City for 35 years, St. Anthony, Idaho, 25 years, Ogden four years, and Clearfield for the past 19 years.
She was a registered nurse and had received her training at Provo General Hospital. She was a specialist in physio-therapy in Battle Creek, Mich. She was a veteran of World War I, serving in the Army Nurse Corps in France. She was a member of the American Legion and honorary member of American Legion Auxiliary in Clearfield. She was a member of the Clearfield LDS Sixth Ward.
Surviving are two sons, Joseph H. Rudd, Portland, Ore.; Dean S. Rudd, Junction City, Ore.; one daughter, Mrs. E. O. (Vilate) Allen, Ogden, nine grandchildren, three brothers, Seth Bean, Twin Falls, Idaho; Ross Bean, Grand Rapids, Mich.; four sisters, Mrs. T. E. (Azua) Greer, San Gabriel, Calif.; Mrs. Orea Tanner, Provo; Mrs. Diana Thatcher, Ogden; Mrs. Clarence (Ruth) Siddoway, Teton, Idaho.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel with Bishop Theodore F Glauser of the Clearfield sixth Ward officiating.
Friends may call at the mortuary Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday prior to services. Burial in Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
